Odom Hydrographic Systems

Odom Hydrographic Systems has presented the ES3-M, a portable, beam-forming multi-beam that incorporates the best features of products from two industry leaders in one compact package.

The result of the combined efforts of Odom and Teledyne TSS is the uniting of Odom's ES3 multibeam with the survey proven DMS line of motion sensors. The technical cooperation of the two companies has resulted in a system with virtually zero fixed offsets (roll and pitch) between the two central components of the Hydrographic Multibeam System. Eliminating offsets means quicker installations, faster calibrations and reduced setup errors, helping to maximize productivity.

The release of Odom's e-Chart software is anothere highlight during Oi08. This totally new product enables the operators of Odom Echotrac series sounders to control all of the parameters of the sounder and to take full advantage of the Ethernet data these state-of-the-art sounders produce, at no charge. The data is displayed in a number of formats (color & gray shade) and may even be printed. Raw acoustic data is stored in a .DSO format, a non-proprietary format that is easily compressed and converted to .XTF for additional processing.
