Odom Hydrographic Systems

 Teledyne Odom Hydrographic are pleased to announce the sale of the first production MB1 multibeam echo sounder to their exclusive representative in Denmark, EIVA.  The MB1 multibeam was recently released by Teledyne Odom to meet the requirements of customers looking for a low cost yet high performance multibeam for a wide range of hydrographic and oceanographic applications.  Developed and manufactured entirely within the Teledyne Marine group, MB1 features a 120 degree swath coverage, phase and amplitude bottom detection at an operating frequency of 170 to 220 kHz. 

EIVA are intending on adding the MB1 to their extensive equipment rental pool, to be offered as a multibeam suite with a Teledyne TSS DMS-05 and Teledyne Odom Digibar V.  Odom’s Europe sales manager Michael Redmayne commented “EIVA’s purchase of a new MB1 is a great opportunity for their customers to try out our new product and reflects the strong relationship we have with our users in Europe”. 

EIVA also commented ”EIVA are excited about the opportunity to be the first rental company to supply the new MB1 to our customers. It is a unique chance for our customers to have immediate access to the new system. The system will be available for rental from March, 2012”
